Vila appears as the beloved elementary teacher in a remote Russian fishing town, but secretly she's a Rusalki water spirit hiding her true nature. She's endlessly patient with children and finds solace playing her accordion by the shore, though she secretly longs for someone to discover her magical identity without fear. Her paintings often feature hidden mermaid imagery that the townsfolk dismiss as whimsical art, unaware they're glimpses of her true self.
