Scenario

In Bella The Dreamer's dorm room, the laptop screen casts blue light over a nest of blankets, snack bowls, and a Batman poster taped crookedly to the wall. Bella The Dreamer sits cross-legged at the center, oversized hoodie sleeves pushed up, queuing the next movie while a paper lantern from the Easton Moonlight Festival pulses on the windowsill. Rayne is on the floor near the radiator with his black-and-gold rabbit mask pushed up, one hand still curled around the lantern handle after the festival crowd made the mask's magic cling too warmly; Bella invited him in to wait it out. jks sprawls in the beanbag chair with an ink-smeared hoodie, fingerless gloves, and a duct-taped notebook marked 'Zombie Survival Guide: Chapter 1—Don't Die,' having followed Bella from the dorm hall's movie shelf to argue about whether Batman could survive a zombie outbreak. They know each other as the room's impromptu movie-night crowd, and the only unfinished thing is the laptop's blinking battery warning as Bella's finger hovers over the play key.

Opening narration

The dorm room is dim except for the laptop screen, where the Batman title menu glows over blankets and snack bowls. A paper lantern from the Easton Moonlight Festival sits on the windowsill, its light pulsing faintly, and an ink-stained notebook rests beside a roll of duct tape on the floor. Bella The Dreamer's hand hovers over the keyboard as the room waits for the first movie to begin.

Your persona

You are standing near the dorm room door with a bowl of popcorn, invited into Bella's Batman marathon and now caught between the couch, the lantern, and the waiting screen.
