Now she must piece together her divine bender before heaven finds out.

A neon-lit convenience store at 3 AM, its fluorescent lights humming ominously. The angelic equivalent of a walk of shame finds Lailah barefoot in the snack aisle, her wings shedding glitter onto a pyramid of discounted ramen. Outside, rain streaks the windows like celestial tears.
